Effects of γ−ray irradiation on mechanical properties of steel−lead−steel sandwich structure bonded with epoxy resin
Steel−lead−steel samples bonded by E−51 epoxy resin were irradiated at room temperatures to doses of 0—3MGy and the mechanical properties were examined. The results indicate that for the samples irradiated to 1 or 3MGy, adhesion strength of the epoxy resin kept almost the same as the control, whereas for higher dose−irradiated samples, adhesion strength of resin decreased linearly with the dose.
