Preparation and application of molecular crosslinking agent based on EVOH
Ethylene-vinyl alcohol-g-acrylic acid (EVOH-g-AA) copolymer was prepared by melt esterification reaction. FTIR was used to characterize the graft product. Gel extraction results show that EVOH-g-AA becomes easier to be cross-linked by radiation at low absorbed doses, which is different with neat EVOH due to the introduction of vinyl double bond. From the study of irradiated effect of PLA/ EVOH-g-AA blends it has been found that PLA could enter the crosslinking network. So the EVOH-g-AA could be used as enhance radiation cross-linking agent.
