UV-radiation induced oxidative damage in linoleic acid
In order to study the peroxidation reaction of lenoleic acid induced by UV the dried thin film and so-lution prepared by linoleic acid were irradiated by UV light (254 nm). The production, MDA and diene conjugate, formed in peroxidation reaction of dried thin film and lenoleic acid solution was measured by thiobarbituric acid (TBA) reaction and absorption spectra. The results show that the Lipid-peroxidation of the dried thin film and lenoleic acid solution increases with the UV irradiation dose and decreases with UV irradiation dose rate. The dried thin film is more sensitive to the UV radiation than the solution.
