Study on anti-radiation character of GMR multi-films
The effects of γ-rays, electron and proton irradiation on two different types of GMR (Giant magneto resistance) multi-films containing different materials were investigated. Lower than 10% decrement in MR rate were observed in all the irradiation process meanwhile the coercivity and exchange field had not varied. The proton irradiation as the major irradiation in the space has much less affection on GMR element than the other two irradiations. This good performance makes GMR element having further application in space science.
