PROTECTIVE EFFECTS OF ELEMENE ON LYMPHOCYTE OF IRRADIATED MICE AND ITS REGULATION
The spleen lymphocytes in mice after fraction irradiation were separated into L,3,T,4,Lyt,2, and B cells by a panning method with monoclonal antibodies. The effects of elemene on function and regulation of lymphocyte subsets were studied by using ,3,H-TdR incorporation,the SOD activity and LPO content were measured. The results indicated that elemene could increase the radiation resistance of lymphoicyte subsets,enhance the helping effects of L,3,T,4, on B cell,increase spleen SOD activity and decrease LPO content. The formation of the mechanism of protection may be due to scavenging free radical and relieving the damage of target.
