THE POLYMERIZATION OF 60Co γ-PREIRRADIATED METHACRYLATES AT LOW TEMPERATURE BY UV-RAY AND ITS APPLICATION
The method of gamma-ray preirradiation has been used to make resin with methacrylates being the main materials. After preirradiation, the resin was inradiated at low temperature to polymerize by UV-ray and the biological materials were embedded in the polymeric block at the same time. Then it was sectioned into superthin sectionings by ultramicrotome cutter. The superfine structures of the embedded biological materials were observed under electron microscopy.
