Resveratrol inhibits the radiation-induced expression of inflammatory factor IL-6
We aim to investigate the effect of resveratrol on inflammatory factor IL-6 produced in irradiated mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) and explore the radioprotective effect of resveratrol. MSCs were treated with different concentrations of resveratrol before irradiation, and the expression of IL-6 was detected by ELISA, Western-blot, and RT-PCR. The results showed that ionizing radiation can lead to the increasing of IL-6 expression in MSCs, and resveratrol can inhibit the expression of ionizing radiation-induced IL-6. Resveratrol can inhibit the ionizing radiation-induced expression of inflammatory cytokines IL-6, which suggests that Sirt1 may play a key role in the process of inflammation induced by irradiation.
