Degradation of pyridine in coal chemical wastewater using ionizing radiation and synergistic processes

“Electron beam irradiation technology effectively degrades pyridine in water, with a degradation rate of 90.88% and a mineralization rate of 6.05% under optimized conditions. Adding oxidants for synergistic treatment resulted in a maximum pyridine removal rate of 96% and a mineralization rate of 9.3%. The free radical quenching experiment confirmed that · OH, eaq -, and H • have an effect on the degradation of pyridine. Ionizing irradiation technology is also effective for the degradation of pyridine in actual coal chemical wastewater.”
