Glioma is the most common neoplasm in brain, which is commonly considered as the tumor tissues with high radioresistance. There have been enhanced research activities in recent years to explore molecular mechanisms of apoptosis induced by ionization radiations, and many researchers have focused their efforts on the radioresistance mechanisms of glioma cells, in an attempt to look for the resistance genes, which could be reverted, to imporve radiosensitivity of tumor cells and the therapeutic efficacy. The paper gives a review on progresses of the studies on the gene and enzyme related to the radioresistance of glioma, and the external environment and other issues about reversion of the radioresistance.
