The day—and—night rhythm changes in the contents of 5—HT of the brains and livers of mice treated by whole—body irradiation with 5Gy ,60,Co ,γ, rays were investigated by means of fluorescent spectrophotometry. The results showed that compared with control, the 5—HT contents in both tissues, generally speaking, were increaased significantly after diurnal irradiation, but decreased insignificantly after night irradiation.
