There was a variety of increasing rates of lipid peroxidation in subcellular fractions of liver and brain in mice on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 10th day after the irradiation of 850 rad, as shown in the following sequence microsome>mitochondria>nucleus. The peak values appeared on the 3rd or 5th day. Intraperitoneal injection of WR-2721 gave an inhibitory effect on the LPO formation in subcellular fraction of liver and brain.
