The fluorospectrophotometric measurement was used to determine changes of malondialdehyde (MDA) level in mice tissues and serum after irradiation, and to assess the protective effect of Vitamin E on damage induced by free radicals. The results indicated: 1. The highest MDA level took place at 24 h after 3.0 Gy irradiation; 2. MDA level in tissues and serum was better elevated with the increase of irradiation dose; 3. Vit E had a effect on reducing MDA level, the most suitable dose of Vit E is 250 µg/g body weight of mice.
