The internal contamination (inhalation, ingestion or wound) with radionuclide in radioactive accident would introduce a serious health risk to human beings meanwhile exterior irradiation occurs. To reduce the harm of the internal contamination, it should be done with effective chelation therapy or decorporation to reduce deposition in target organs and accelerate excretion of the radio-nuclides. This paper reviews all kinds of compounds used as chelating agents, such as salt, colloid, traditional Chinese medicine and organic chelating agent, etc., which may provide some ideas for the development of a new effective nuclide decorporation.Cited
