The feasibility of the dosimetry based on electron spin resanance analysis of ,60,Co γ-ray-induced free radicals in d-glucose has been studied. A relative measurement method, a technique of preparation samples, a calibration procedure and a dose assessment equation are presented in the paper.,determining ,60,Co γ-ray absorbed dose using d-glucose/ ESR free radical dosimeter there are very good linear response characteristic in 10~3×10,4,Gy range; the dispersion of the response among the tested specimens is less than 3%; under the dried atmosphere of 4℃, the stability of the ESR signals of samples is satisfactory for two months which relative standard deviation of the variations is about 2%. Dosimeter samples, composisting of small pellets of microcrystalline d-glucose in paraffin, are firm enough for use, tissue equivalent and insensitive to surface contaminations.,D-glucose/ESR free radical dosimetry is testified to a better high-dose measuring technique. It can be used widely to determine the dose in radiation research and radiation processing.
