ADAPTIVE RESPONSE OF LYMPHOCYTE SUBSETS TO LOW DOSE γ-RADIATION ON DNA SYNTHESIS
The extracellular fluid was extracted from human peripheral blood lymphocytes cultured with PHA for 24 hours after 4cGy irradiation. The effects of subsequent higher radiation doses on lymphocyte subsets were studied by intermixing the extracellular fluid. The resultshowed that the radiation damage of CD,8,+, and CD,4,+, were decreasedsignificantly, and the strongest adaptive response occourred at the dose of 1.5Gy and 3.0Gy separately. It also found that CD,8,+, cells was more radiosensitive thanCD,4,+, cells and the adaptive response of CD,8,+, was more obvious than that of CD,4,+, at the dose of 1.5Gy.
