Technical feasibility of irradiation sterilization of pollen by accelerated electron beam was studied in this paper. The irradiation efficacy for the decontamination of pollen was determined.,Irradiation effect of electron beam on morphology and composition of pollen was also studied. The photos of morphology were given for pollen irradiated by electron beam with different doses. The dose dependence of the content of pollen composition, such as protein, amino acid, L-ascorbic acid, total ascorbic acid and catalase was determined. The corresponding tests for pollen irradiated by ,60,Co gamma rays were contrasted. The results show that the irradiation treatment by accelerated electron beam is an effective way for pollen sterilization.
