Current status of battery separator preparation by radiation-induced graft copolymerization
Radiation induced graft copolymerization of functional monomers onto polymeric membrane is an important method for battery separator preparation. In order to satisfy technical requirements of different batteries, the separators should be endowed with unique electrochemical and physiochemical properties, and this can be accomplished by grafting different monomers onto polymer membranes with ionizing radiations. The paper gives a review on recent progresses in this field of research and applications.
